Lu Chou, Ph.D.
Hi there, my name is Lu. I am an Astrobiologist and Instrument Scientist at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. I work on developing and implementing organic geochemistry experiments on the Curiosity Rover, which is currently exploring Gale Crater on Mars in search of habitable environments and signatures of life. I also design and develop flight instruments for planetary exploration, including front-end separation systems to be coupled to high heritage flight mass spectrometers.
I'm generally interested in new instruments, technologies, and strategies that can be used to search for life on other planets, including those that are not based on Terran biochemistry— or 'life as we don’t know it'.
